I'm a student at the Philipps-University of Marburg for teaching English as a foreign language. I designed this E-Portfolio to document my learning progress in the course New Media in Foreign Language Education.
In today's classroom, teaching New Media becomes more and more important, due to the fact that pupils use the computer in their spare time to communicate or to have fun. Unfortunately there seems to be a tendency that more and more pupils are not aware of the chances the New Media offer to get presentations done, to gather information or to organize content. This may be due to the fact that also teachers sometimes lack profound knowledge how the New Media can be included in class efficiently.
During the semester I will work on several topics such as personal experiences with some new internet tools I made, I will give you my impressions from a field trip to the Martin-Luther-school in Marburg where we will discuss the use of the New Media with teachers.
